Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry to use new tax audit techniques

For this purpose, supported by the Technical Assistance Office of the U.S. Treasury Department, new ways of tax audit have been worked out. This method determines the new audit techniques which are considered basis for quality of tax audits and ensure transparency, it said in a statement.

The new technique, fixing systemic approach to planning and carrying out tax audits, expands the scope of various methods of inspection, and thus sets direction for improving technical aspects of the audit.

In an effort to study new methods of auditing, experts of the Ministry of Taxes have recently participated in trainings sponsored by Technical Assistance Office. Currently,  new audit methods are being tested in the subsystem “Audit” of the Automated Tax Information System used by the Ministry of Taxes.
