Azerbaijani communication minister meets Latvian counterpart

The meeting focused on IT cooperation between the two countries.

The Latvian delegation was led by transport and communications minister Kaspars Gerhards who briefed on IT projects in Latvia.Gerhards also briefed Azerbaijani minister Ali Abbasov on electronic signature, e-government and development of internets and other issues.

In turn, Azerbaijani delegation described projects implemented as a part of the Electronic Government state program in Azerbaijan to the Latvian delegation.

Abbasov presented extensive information about the project Trans-Eurasian Super East-West main and expressed hope for cooperation with Latvia in this field. Abbasov also spoke about the Azerbaijan’s own satellite Azerspace to be launched in future.
