Baku to host EITI meeting

The meeting is expected to be held on October 14-15. The Norwegian representatives will also attend the meeting.

The EITI headquarters is based in Oslo, Norway.

The organization launched its 20-member council at the global conference in February, 2009. Representatives of the civil society and industrial and investment companies of the different countries were members of the council. The EITI has 30 members.

Azerbaijan completed validation processes and was the first to fulfill the EITI requirements in February.
