Ukraine welcomes gas deal between SOCAR, Gazprom

Ukraine welcomes the gas deal on export of Azerbaijani gas from January 2010 signed between Azerbaijan State Oil Company and Gazprom, Ukrainian ambassador to Azerbaijan Boris Klimchuk said.
“We welcome deal on export of Azerbaijani gas between Azerbaijan and Russia. For Azerbaijan it means access to a new gas market,” the ambassador said.

He said “such decisions are made based on detailed economic analysis.”

The diplomat also urged not to politicize gas projects and contracts on gas export.
