Azerbaijan is currently holding negotiations regarding routes of gas to be produced from Shah Deniz field in several directions, according to Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev.

According to him, these talks are held regarding to conditions of sale of gas, produced at phase 1 and 2 of the Shah Deniz project.
"The delegation of Russian Gazprom that holds talks with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is here. It is a long process as it implies a long term agreement and the parties are settling strategic issues", noted he.
He said Azerbaijan is receiving many proposals on gas from Shah Deniz.
"You know even Iran offerred us to buy the whole volume of gas produced in frames of phase 2 of the Shah Deniz project. We are going to clarify the expediency of each proposal and choose the most financially profitable one by way of talks.
At the same time gas will not be sold in a single direction. The price factor will mostly be taken into account-the one who offers the best price, will get the gas", announced the Minister.
On Azerbaijan's possible participation in Nabucco, Aliyev said he considers that this project is "immature" yet. "It is being discussed only at conferences, summits or some meetings and the support of some states is received. The process does not advance beyond this", noted Aliyev.
"When we started to implement the BTC pipeline project, there were decisions by the participating states, resolutions of governments, decisions to allocate lands, we also were aware of the corridor width and the way the lands would be bought from the owners. No such works are held within the Nabucco framework and we do not know whose gas will be transported via it and so on.
But at the same time I would not like to politicize this issue - Nabucco is not a simple project, it covers many countries and it is necessary to settle many political and legal problems. This is a huge work-look how long the talks between fraternal states - Azerbaijan and Turkey - are held. Then what can be said of the project that covers several countries at once?", concluded the Minister.
