Russia will prevent interference of non-Caspian states in ensuring the border security in the Caspian Sea, despite such attempts by some states.

The due information has been provided by Interfax-Azerbaijan with reference to the Federal Security Service of Russia.
"We have noticed the intention of the non-Caspian states to interfere in the process of forming a system of border security in the Caspian Sea. This will not happen" said Vladimir Ulyanov, first deputy chief of department of international relations of the Russian Federal Security Service in Moscow Tuesday
He did not specify the countries that demonstrate such intentions.
B. Ulyanov reminded that a decision to ensure the border security in the Caspian Sea was adopted by the leaders of the Caspian littoral states (Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan) in Tehran.
The security system must be established by the end of 2009.
In turn, Mikhail Rogatkin, chief of the coastal guard department of the FSS frontier service reported that "a positive trend of decline of illegal production of water bio-reserves has been lately observed in the Caspian Sea".
"The number of cases of violation of production of water bioresources have reduced twofold. Confiscation of small sailing facilities has risen 3.5 times", said Rogatkin.
The meeting of the Russian FSS frontier administration with journalists was held in Moscow Tuesday and was devoted to the upcoming celebration of the Day of Frontier guard. The Decree of the Board of the People's Commissars to establish the RSFSR frontier guard was adopted on May 28 of 1918.
