Nabucco project envisions supply natural gas from the Caspian basin to Europe, bypassing Russia - through Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Austria.

Russia is not against the alternative projects in the energy sector, including Nabucco, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said.
"We are not against the implementation of alternative projects. If there is confidence that these projects will be implemented, we will not mind it", Putin said, answering reporters' questions about Russia's attitude to Nabucco pipeline.
The Nabucco project will be a continuation of existing gas pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum and is designed for annual 20-30 billion cubic meters of gas.
Putin said that the feasibility and future of Nabucco project should be addressed to those involved in this project.
