Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (AMEA) have taken part in 4th international congress “Fuel Bioethanol - 2009, devoted to problems of production of bioethanol from non-product raw material in Moscow.

The Academy reported that in the congress Azerbaijan was represented by Tarana Mammadova, an official of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes.
“The event involved specialists from over 25 countries of the world, including Germany, France, Turkey, Finland, Czech Republic, etc. The participants emphasized fastened development of bio-fuel industry in the world. The main issue of debates was manufacture of bio-fuel of II and III generation,” it was reported.
The congress also covered issues of food security.
