Department of Marketing & Economic Operations (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan; SOCAR) has reported of price growth on all petroleum products exported in April 2009.

SOCAR informs that while it was observed growth of prices on all kinds of oil products in the range of $5.72 up to $60.97 per ton in January 2009, decrease in prices ranging $0.06-$54.78 per ton in February 2009, growth of $4.8 up to $30 per ton in March, in April it was registered more significant growth - $32.3-47.53 per ton.
“Price of a ton of motor petrol in April 2009 was $490.23, aviation fuel $461.18, diesel fuel $425.74, and black oil $284.3 per ton,” SOCAR said.
At the same time last month price on motor petrol rose by $47.53, aviation fuel by $39.6, diesel fuel by $38.04, and black oil by $32.33 per ton.
The highest prices for oil products in 2008 were observed in June - $1132.02, $1287.27, $1201.55 and $673.81 per ton.
Simultaneously in April 2009 overall export of Azeri oil products grew up to 195,492 tons versus 162,179 tons in March, 206,468 tons in February and 191,414 tons in January of 2009, 244,642 tons in December 2008 and 343,742 tons in October of 2008.
“In April 2009 the SOCAR Department of Marketing & Economic Operations exported 17,465 tons of motor petrol, 118,864 tons of diesel fuel, 29,174 tons of aviation fuel and 29,989 tons of furnace fuel export.
For Jan-Apr 2009 it was exported 70,639 tons of petrol, 509,823 tons of diesel fuel, 147,382 tons of aviation fuel and 31,329 tons of furnace fuel,” it was informed.
Thus, following Jan-Apr 2009 overall export of petroleum products reached 759,173 tons and was equivalent to 29.4% of their export for entire 2008.
In 2008 export of motor petrol totaled 384,752 tons, diesel fuel 1.4 million tons, aviation fuel 206,458 tons and furnace fuel 582,527 tons. Totally export of these petroleum products reached 2.58 million tons.
