Import of animal derived products from Europe banned in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has today imposed a ban on the import of animal derived products from Europe, said spokesman for the State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijan Agricultural Ministry Yolchu Khanveli.
"As the pig flue (H1N1) has spread in Europe, Azerbaijan has imposed a ban on the import of cargoes, which are under veterinary control, in particular, animals and animal derived products from the European countries", noted Khanveli.

Notably, pig flu first spread in Mexico and USA.
