Nabucco is still counting on gas supplies from Azerbaijan despite a memorandum of understanding signed between Russia’s Gazprom and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR, said Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH spokesman Christian Dolezal, APA reports. “It does not change anything.

We know and it’s not new that Russia is of course a business partner of Azerbaijan, but it does not change anything about the plan to receive Azeri gas and we are convinced that Azeri gas will flow for Nabucco,” Dolezal said.
