British companies ready to assist in supplies of Azerbaijani agricultural production to world markets

A meeting with delegations of the British companies Oxfham and Unilever was held in the standing commission on agrarian policy of Milli Medjlis, according to the press service for Milli Medjlis.
Commission chairman Eldar Ibrahimov informed the visitor about measures, aimed to raise the volumes of agricultural production, improve processes of their package and storage and create new enterprises, engaged in this sphere. He voiced interest of the Azerbaijani side in implementing joint projects in the sphere with Oxfham and Unilever.

Unilever expert Stuart Clark stressed the company's readiness to assist to Baku in the supplies of fruit and vegetables produced in Azerbaijan to the world markets and for implementation of projects in this direction.

According to head of the agricultural project of Oxfham Elvin Nabiyev, the organization he represents in the framework of the project of agricultural development in Azerbaijan conducts due works in the central lowland regions of the country.

He said the company that has representative offices in more than 80 countries assists to Azerbaijan in restoring irrigation systems, provision of Azerbaijani agricultural production supply to the world markets and allocation of credits.
