
The quality indicators of the development of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Lithuania are good", said ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Azerbaijan Kestutis Kudzmanas.
He noted that Most Lithuanian companies found partners and started to work on the Azerbaijani market after the exhibitions of telecommunications, furniture and so on, held in Baku.
He said Lithuania mainly exports fridges and other household technique which is of high quality to Azerbaijan.
"Moreover, this is Lithuanian furniture, windows, doors, in other words, all these goods, we have been invading the European market with, and they are now returning to the Azerbaijani market", said he.
As for the Azerbaijani production mostly in demand in Lithuania, he listed petrochemical production, including technical oil, dissolving agents and so on.
He voiced hope that considering the improving quality indicators and ne? contracts the rise in commodity turnover will make 20-30%.
"Lithuania being a tourism country is interested in attracting tourists. The country's powers have repeatedly spoken for facilitation of the visa regime, but this issue depends on Azerbaijan's talks with EU, as Lithuania is part of the Sсhengen area and can not present any special regime", said the ambassador speaking of the possible facilitation of the visa regime.
He noted that talks on the facilitation of the visa regime were held in Lithuania on December 9.
"Vilnius considers that elimination of this barrier would have a positive influence on the growth of tourism inflow and even trade relations. All these issues are raised at the talks in the framework of the so-called Eastern partnership initiative", concluded the ambassador.
