
In November of 2008 prices on consumer goods and tariffs on services grew 0.1% as compared to October and 21.4% as compared to the previous year.
Day.Az reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan that in particular, foodstuffs, drinks and tobacco dropped in price by 0.1% in September as compared to August and rose 29.5% as compared to the previous year; nonfoods grew in price by 1.1% and 11.5% and services dropped in price by 0.1% and rose by 11.5% respectively.
The structure of growth in prices on consumer goods through month is as follows:
- sugar, jam, honey, chocolade and sweets - 0.3%;
- coffee, tea, cacao-1.3%,
- meat products - 0.4%;
- fish products - 2.4%;
- dairy products, cheese and eggs - 2%;
- beer - 0.3%;
- vegetables - 3.8%;
- drinks - 0.6%;
- tobacco - 0.3%.
At the same time, fruits have dropped in prices by 1%, butter and far by 1% and bread and cereals by 5.5%.
The structure of price growth on nonfoods is as follows:
- clothes - 2.4%;
- materials - 0.2%;
- footwear - 4.4%;
- household equipment - 0.9%l
- medicines - 1.4%.
At the same time, building materials have dropped in price by 0.7% and jewels by 0.9%,.
In November, basic index of consumer prices made 100.1% as compared to a previous month and 122.6% as compared to the previous year.
