
Azerbaijan is ready to invest in different countries, including Libya, said deputy foreign minister of the country Khalaf Khalafov at the first session of the Azerbaijani-Libyan intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Baku Wednesday, according to Interfax-Azerbaijan.
"We are ready to invest into different countries, including Libya.
The political relations are on a high level, the trade and economic relations leave much to be desired and it is necessary to raise the trade turnover between the countries", said the deputy minister at the session.
He said the Caspian energy sources play an important role in the provision of global energy security.
Secretary on Asian and Australian affairs of the National Committee on External Ties and International Cooperation of Lybia Mohamed Omar Al-Barrani noted that his country is interested in the development of relations with "brother Azerbaijan in different spheres".
By results of the session, there is a plan to sign a final protocol to define main trends of cooperation, including energy, education and so on.
