Azerbaijan to raise pensions next year

"The insurance and basic parts of pensions need increasing not less than once a year. Usually, the lowest rise is 25%. Therefore, the next rise will be remarkable," he added.

He added that there are some discrepancies in the pension system of the country.

"A highly-qualified scholar, who lectured at university, receives low pension when retired. This issue is discussed at the State Social Protection Fund, the parliamentary commission for social policy and the Presidential Administration," he added.
