SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev received general chief executive of Hungarian Mol oil and gas company Georgy Mosoni.

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for SOCAR that Abdullayev stressed the recent strengthening of ties between SOCAR and Mol.
In turn, Mosoni noted that the current visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany will create a new platform for bilateral cooperation.
The meeting participants noted that Azerbaijan is one of the main partners of Europe in ensuring energy security. Abdullayev said natural gas extraction in the country is growing year by year, thus raising the potential of its export.
He provided information about implementation of the Shah Deniz project. SOCAR president noted that Azerbaijan is ready to create conditions for transit of gas from other Caspian littoral states to Europe via its territory.
