Kavkaz Cannery employees block Baku-Rostov road

The one-hour protest went off without any incident. The workers told APA Bureau that they protested against long working hours and violation of employment contracts by the company’s management.

Talat Garasu, the company’s manager for production, met with the protesters and promised to solve problems concerning them.

Kavkaz Cannery told APA that the company’s switching to a double-shift work (the first shift is from 08.00am to 04.00pm and the second is from 04.00pm to 23.00pm) was misunderstood and confused by the workers.

The company noted that workers came back to their work after the new system was explained to them.
