Azerbaijan accounts for 4,600 foreign employees

Day.Az reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee that the number of hired employees, engaged in enterprises and organizations, made 1,372,200 people of whom 869,700 people are engaged in state sector and 470,800 in private sector.

20.8% of hired employees are engaged in production sector, including 13.4% in industry, 4.7% in construction, 2.7% in agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing.

Of those engaged in serviced 25.3% work in the sphere of education, 19.6% in wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and technique, 10% in the sphere of public health and social services, 6.9% in transport, warehouse economy and communication, 6.1% other communal, social and personal services, 5% engaged in real estate transactions, rent and consumer's services, 3.9% in state regulation and defense, 2.4% in other spheres.

Moreover, according to the state statistical committee, the enterprises and organizations of Azerbaijan accounted for 4,600 foreigners in January-April of this year, including 1,400 people in industry, 1,300 in construction, 900 in real estate transactions, rent and consumer services, 500 in wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and technique, 200 in education, 100 in transport, storehouse economy and communication, 300 in other spheres.

As of June 1, the number of the unemployed made 45,146 people of whom 47.7% are women. Thus 4 unemployed claim for one vacancy. The average volume of unemployment benefits makes AZN 108, which is up AZN 2.2 than in January-April.
