Heydar Babayev: "Bread prices are raised artificially in Azerbaijan"

Day.Az reports with reference to ANS TV channel that Azerbaijan's Minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev spoke of the artificial causes of rise in prices of bread in the country.

The Minister noted that one of the ways of settling the issue of bread price hike is expansion of geography of grain imports to the country. H.Babayev noted that the reduction of prices on the said product can be attained this way.

The Minister said that a greater part of food grain is imported to the country from abroad and elimination of all import tariffs is the most effective means, which the government can apply. At the same time, he said the periodic combat with artificial price hike will continue,

According to Babayev, in the result of conducted work, it will be necessary to expand geography of grain importers, thus, eliminating dependence on one country and influencing prices inside the republic.
