AZPROMO studies prospects of Russian, Turkmenistani and Georgian markets

"Azerbaijan building companies consider the construction market of Russia unpredictable, therefore, treats the prospects of business prospects there carefully".

AZPROMO president Emil Mejidov told Day.Az that the talks on all construction projects continue but none of the companies have started definite works. "Though, we see good prospects for work in the southern region of Russia, in particular, in Sochi", he noted.

Meanwhile, construction companies of Azerbaijan well assimilated the market of Kazakhstan, yet due to the construction crisis in this country, the works are a little bit frozen. "But I think the situation will improve soon", Mejidov noted.

Export of Azerbaijani foodstuffs to Kazakhstan is also successful. But there are no definite talks in the sphere of oil and gas services, though proposals were made both by Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

"We also study capacities of the Georgian and Turkmenistani markets. Georgia is open for foreign investments, but market is narrow there. In Turkmenistan we are looking for a partner  for establishment of business contacts", said Mejidov.
