National Bank detects 65 counterfeit banknotes

Bank's official Hajibaba Masimov told APA-Economics that 50 of the currency notes are in 1 and 5 manat and the rest in 10 manat notes.

"The only way out is to increase awareness among people in order to inform them about the secret signs and elements which can not be counterfeited. The forgers acquire high-tech equipment while it is impossible to exactly copy realistic bills. The counterfeit money is easily recognized if you know the signs," he added.
