The UN Resident Coordinator, Bruno Pouezat, and the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Abulfaz Garayev, attended the opening ceremony of the center.
Bruno Pouezat said that analogous centers also operate in Baku, Shamakhi, Khachmaz and Sheki, APA reports.
The Tourism Information Center will give training courses in tourism and this will help local residents to find employment.
In the nearest future, Tourism Information Centers will also be established in Guba, Ganja, Zagatala and Nakhchivan.
