Azerbaijan amends 500 bus delivery agreement terms

Nihad Motors President Nazim Guliyev told APA-Economics that the company had booked 500 buses with European-standard engines.

"10 buses were delivered to Azerbaijan last month. We discovered that European-standard engines are not suitable and durable for Azerbaijan. We changed the agreement to buy the rest [490 buses] with standards durable to post-soviet roads. There will be some changes in chassis, engine and pumps," he added.

He added that 100 buses will be brought to Azerbaijan in the nearest future.

"We plan to use all the 500 buses in in-city public transportation by August," he said.

He noted that the price per 30-seat bus is $50,000-$70,000.
