Azerbaijan attracts more tourists from Japan, South Korea and China

Nowadays, Azerbaijan attracts more and more tourists from Japan, South Korea and China.

The Culture and Tourism Ministry officer Aydin Ismiyev told that Azerbaijan boasted one million tourists in 2006.

"The number of tourists grows between 20% and 25% every year. Tourists come most from Europe, especially from Russia, Georgia, Turkey and Iran," he added.

He said Azerbaijan is working on some projects to improve mountain tourism infrastructure in the short run, APA reports.
