Shell intends to expand its activities in Azerbaijan

SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev has today met with Shell Vice-President and Shell-Azerbaijan General Manager.

The vice-president said Azerbaijan is playing a vital part in delivery of the Caspian energy resources to Europe.

He said Shell is studying the prospects of transportation of Kazakhstan's oil and its profit oil through Baku-Tbilisi-Kars pipeline, APA reports.

He voiced great hope that the joint operations in Inam Field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian will continue to progress on schedule. Guy Outen said Shell plans to expand its spectrum in Azerbaijan and to cooperate with the SOCAR in oil production, refining, marketing and other fields.

SOCAR President said Azerbaijan has ready potential infrastructure for either delivery of Kazakh oil to the Black Sea by railway or to the Mediterranean Sea via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
