Problems and prospects of standardizations in Azerbaijan examined

Alan Bryden, Secretary-General of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) also attended the discussion.

Speaking of globalization and application of ISO standards, Alan Bryden said international standards can be acquired by improving and aligning the legislation with the international standards.

He noted that the ISO has 156 members and 179 active technical committees, APA reports.

"We prioritize the safety of foodstuffs," he pointed out.

The Agency Director Ramiz Hasanov, Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev and Foreign Ministry Officer Shovgi Mehdizade and others delivered a speech at the meeting.
