Moldova to contribute to Azerbaijan's accession to WTO, Vasile Tarlev says

Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev met with Caspian Integration Business Club members.

The Club President Telman Aliyev gave brief information about the Club, saying the club has over 300 members. Vasile Tarlev said there is no obstacle to close cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova, but economic and commercial indicators are below the potential and the gaps can be filled in a short period.

He noted that Moldova is a stable country and has good investment environment.
The premier also said a trade agreement reached last year with the EU enable Moldova to export 9,000 kinds of products to the West, but the government committed itself to achieve a fully symmetric agreement.

He added that Moldavian-made goods meet European standards and half of the products are exported to the West and half to the CIS while the ratio was 10% to 90%.

He urged Azeri businesspeople to create joint ventures in banking, agrarian, engineering and energy sectors, showing an example of the construction of an oil terminal in Moldova.

He said Moldova has been the member of World Trade organization and is ready to contribute to Azerbaijan's accession to the organization.

At the end of the event, Vasile Tarlev was presented a Certificate of Honorary Member, APA reports.
