Liquid gas prices to rise

"The liquid gas prices can be increased in the domestic market," SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev told reporters.

He said that retail price of liquid gas is cheaper in the domestic market and the drivers therefore try to use liquid gas rather than other fuels, APA reports.

He explained that the increase doesn't mean gas shortage. "Our liquid gas production supplies the domestic demand. Heydar Aliyev Refinery produced 16 000 metric tons of gas last month. Azerbaijan's domestic demand for liquid gas is between 10 and 11 tons. Also, we export liquid gas to Georgia," he underscored.
