Azerbaijan State Caspian Sea Shipping Company raises cargo transportation by 5.3%

This figure is 357, 000 tons or 5.3% more than last year’s respective period.

4.94mn of the cargo was carried by tankers, 1.44mn tons by ferries, 680,000 tons by land cargo transport.

As APA reports, much of the cargo was carried by Caspian Sea ships.

6.49mn tons of cargo (308,000 tons more than last year) was carried in this basin.

In this period 3.443mn tons (as well as 2,941mn tons of transit cargo) were transported by ships in the Caspian part of Eurasian transport corridor.

6200 passengers used the service of ferries in this transport corridor. In first half year, 560,000 tons of cargo (39,000 tons more than last year’s) was delivered to its address on time through land cargo transport.
