$150 million required for construction of "Azizbayov - H.Aliyev Int'l Airport" metro line

As APA iforms, if this amount is granted, the metro line to the Aliyev International Airport can be constructed for 5-7 years.

Although several CIS and German companies show interest in construction of this metro line at present, none of them has given their consent to grant funds yet. The reason of it is that the government treats this idea as a commercial project, but the foreign investors require state guarantee for it.

According to the initial calculations, the length of the "Azizbayov - H.Aliyev Int'l Airport" metro line will be 17.5 kilometers. Local specialists have already prepared the initial scheme of the new metro line to consist of 6-7 stations at the expense of a grant from the Japanese government.
