Opening of the anti-corruption legal defense centers in Azerbaijan (ALDC) is an integral part of the international exchange of experience in the corruption fighting sphere.
Chairman of the permanent parliamentary commission on legal policy and state building Ali Huseynov made such a statement in his interview with Trend.
«Setting up such centers is of a special significance from the standpoint of familiarization with the international practice in the corruption fighting.
We are to adopt the experience of efficient corruption counteracting, the parliamentarian noted, the ALDC activities will be especially successful in close collaboration with the Commission on the corruption fighting under the Administrative Board of the state service of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted, the opening ceremony of the country’s first ALDC took place on 20 July in Baku. The Center was established under the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the American Lawyers Association and the Legal Initiative in Central Europe and Euro-Asia (AHA/MAAHT) with the aid of the Transparency International Organization.
