The local telephone talks will be payable in Azerbaijan by the end of the year.
Trend reports quoting Ali Abbasov, the Minister for Communications and Information Technologies.
According to Abbasov, the actions come as necessary following the growing number of users and use of the telephone lines. The Minister also noted the importance of defining tariffs available even for poor layers. “Talks with the amount of 300 minutes should not exceed $1,” he stressed.
Besides, Abbasov noted that tariffs for long-distance calls, which are still high as compared to other countries, will be decreased considerably in the country in order to establish in a balance in the country in 2006.
In September 2004 tariffs of talks will be reduced by 30-40%.
