The Pakistani national bank will open its Baku office soon.
The Pakistani embassy in Baku told Trend that the relevant work in this direction was underway.
The Azerbaijani and Pakistani governments reached an agreement on the opening of the Baku Office of the Bank in 1999. However, some factors actually delayed the opening of the representative office. The bank will be issues an official license within 10-15 days.
The Pakistani side hopes that the Baku office will assist the development of cooperation between the businessmen of the two countries, enable the Azerbaijani and Pakistani entrepreneurs to expand the economic relationships.
A Pakistani governmental delegation will visit Baku to attend the official opening ceremony, the embassy told Trend.
