Abulfas Garayev: “Tourism development plan in Azerbaijan” prepared with the financial support of the USA State Department will be ready till September”

The youth, sport and tourism minister Abulfas Garayev informing about it said that tourist stream to our country increased 25-30 % every year.

The minister said that he had analyzed the report of the Worldwide Tourism Organization yesterday and stressed that the information was significant for our country. The minister informed they held investigations on population’s resting inside the republic and stated that growth was observed in transference of the population during the summer months from year to year: “Places in all rest centers are reserved beforehand and insufficiency of places is observed”, saying A.Garayev stressed that it was a positive case. The ministry will also realize other measures for increasing raising tourism potential of Azerbaijan.

According to the words of A.Garayev, the “Plan of development of tourism in Azerbaijan” is prepared with the financial support of the USA State Department and the plan will be ready till September. After adopting this document the tourism potential of Azerbaijan will increase more. The state official noted that tourism would form important part of the non-oil sector and said that the tourism field would have special role in poverty reduction in the country.
