Azerbaijan’s Central Bank issues nearly 1B manats loan to banking sector

The total volume of loans issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to the country's banking sector throughout the whole period of its operation is around 1 billion manats, head of the Central Bank Elman Rustamov told reporters in Baku May 10.

He noted that the swap operations are not included in the mentioned amount.

The major part of these loans account for the funds issued for the implementation of significant projects, according to Rustamov.

"The major part of these loans has been issued for various social projects, development of infrastructure and so on," he added.
