Azerbaijan records jump in communication services

Communication structures provided services worth AZN 1.245bn to the population, enterprises and organizations of Azerbaijan in 2011. According to sources in the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan, it is a growth by 11.8% over 2010.

72.7% of services were provided directly to the population (15.4% growth). “Currently, there are 101 mobile phones in every 100 persons and every second is the internet user”, the report says.
