Frank Schwabe steps up his rhetoric around COP29 as he finds it unreachable

17 November 2024 [09:00] - TODAY.AZ

Frank Schwabe, the German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag, and the head of the German delegation to PACE, exploited his untapped energy and emotions at the Bundestag, sharing again his anti-Azerbaijan rhetoric.

As is known, Baku is hosting COP29 which provides a larger platform, where over 70 thousand participants run dialogue around common problems of our planet.

Last night, the Bundestag member babbled on about human rights, freedom of speech, and protecting freedom worldwide. However, he did not mention the fate of the people of the small island states participating in COP29, who are suffering under the oppression of French and Dutch neo-colonialism. According to Schwabe, they cannot bear the symbol of free people, because his search for freedom can only be attributed to the countries where he and politicians like him are biased. Schwabe says that there is an unhealthy environment in Azerbaijan where he claims freedom is suppressed, but he is unaware that hundreds of German citizens who attend the COP29 event in Baku are so satisfied that are even surprised by what they have heard back in their country.

It is not uncommon for visitors from Europe to be surprised by the situation in Baku at first glance. This, of course, is due to the critical situation artificially created by biased politicians like Frank Schwabe.

It is no coincidence that Frank Schwabe is on the list of those banned from entering Azerbaijan. His inclusion in this list is not an unusual situation. A German politician who is alien to the realities of Azerbaijan and has an impartial approach is trying to choose Azerbaijan as a target instead of being interested in the situation in his country. The chaotic political situation in Germany and the internal conflict of coalitions have brought the country to the highest level of tension.

However, for Frank Schwabe, the topic is still Azerbaijan. He and several politicians like him are only thinking about causing damage since they cannot contribute to important events like COP29.

Given all this, Azerbaijan no longer needs to worry about any malignant campaigns by ill-intentioned individuals like him. Evil is Evil. Lesser, greater, middling...Makes no difference.
