Tragedies on Baku's roads- VIDEO

Since early this year, 273,533 traffic violations by drivers were recorded in Baku. Of them, 32,585 were violations related to rules on crossing of intersection, 1,571 - violation of maneuvering rules, 10,798 - running a red traffic light, 3,276 - exceeding the set speed, 3,345 – drunk driving, 283 - lack of state license plates, 5,036 - driving without a driving license, 84,034 violations were related to the presence of films on the windows of cars.

Some 1,457 drivers were arrested for causing emergency situation, 1,039 - for disobeying police. About 1,726 drivers were brought to administrative responsibility, Baku State Central Traffic Police Department spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Vagif Asadov said.

During the reporting period, 1,450 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility and fined for violating traffic rules.

The department provided video of road accidents spotted by the Safe City camera system.
