The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) plans mass political actions for next February, the task being to change power and get President Serzh Sargsyan to resign, Tert.am reported.
"After accomplishing these tasks we must participate in the elections," the ANC member David Shahnazaryan told journalists Dec. 8. He forecasts changes in the political situation in Armenia during the next few months, as the autorities' positions are getting weaker.
"The authorities are in a situation similar to that of a man on drift sand. Any of the authorities' steps bring their collapse near as they have proved their impotence in all the areas," Shahnazaryan said. He warned against believing the "Kocharyan-sponsored media" and doubting the ANC's unity. "No disagreements within the ANC. It has never been as united as it is now," Shahnazaryan said.
