Azerbaijani President inspects construction of National Flag Square - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the National flag square to see ongoing construction work on March 30.
The foundation stone for the square was laid in accordance with a presidential decree of 2007.
The President has visited the construction site, located near the Naval Base, several times.
The square will occupy a total area of 35,000 square meters.
The national flag to be installed here will have a 162 meter-high flagpole, and will measure 70 meters high x 35 meters wide and weight 350 kilos.
The President gave recommendations to carry out the work in accordance with modern standards.
