The Temporary Central Executive Committee of the Socialist Party of Azerbaijan held a plenum, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for the party.

As is reported, the plenum considered the party's attitude towards the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan. Chairman of the committee Rustam Shakhsuvarov made a report on the said issue.
The plenum decided that the situation in Azerbaijan, incompleteness of the current electoral legislation and the composition of the electoral commissions does not promote multi-party elections under equal opportunities for competition.
In these conditions, the party does not consider it possible to nominate its candidate for presidency or support any other candidate.
