Azerbaijan prepares a project to reconstruct old bridges in Baku

Azerbaijan plans to start reconstruction of old bridges in Baku this year.

A source from the Azeri Road Service said the project has been sent to the Government and the Ministry of Transport.

Reconstruction of a railroad bridge near the Excelsior Hotel has started. It is planned to redesign and reconstruct Baghirov Bridge which was built in the early 1950s.

5 road bridges and overpasses, 1 tunnel and 6 pedestrian tunnels and footbridges were commissioned in Baku last year.
