Azerbaijani citizen imprisoned for participation in 15-16 October, 2003 events in Georgia

Religious Belief and Freedom of Conscience Defense Center (RBFCDC) Caucasus Department leader Azer Ramizoghlu has been imprisoned in Tbilisi, the organization Chairman Ilgar Ibrahimoghlu informs.

As APA reports, Ibrahimoghlu said that Azer Ramizoghlu was detained on the appeal of General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan. Chairman of RBFCDC said that Azer Ramizoghlu did not take part in 15-16 October, 2003 events.

According to him, Ramizoghlu has held monitoring on violation of human rights after the elections.

Azer Ramizoghlu's name is included to the list of criminal case for 15-16 October, 2003 events: "We have informed Prosecutor's Office of Georgia after having known the place of his living. We have not an official order for his arrest yet. But we do not exclude his being detained. An official report might appear later."
