Basketball: Italy beat Angola 81-67 at World Cup opener

Italy got off to a positive start in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 in the Philippines on Friday, winning 81-67 against Angola in its first Group A match, Azernews reports, citing ANSA.

The top scorer was Simone Fontecchio with 19 points.

The Azzurri will next play against Dominican Republic on Sunday.
