Iran will be entering a new phase of progress this year, country's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said today, Mehr news agency reported.
"We have been pn a launch pad last year, and this year we will make a big jump forward," he said during the interview to Iran's Talk Radio.
Salehi noted that segregation should be avoided, so that enemies wouldn't try to accomplish their plans.
Last year (1391, ended on March 21), Iran faced such problems as new portion of economic sanctions, new negotiations regarding its nuclear program, difficulties with importing medicine, inflation, job cuts, and currency fluctuation.
"As the Supreme Leader said, this year is the year of political and economic valor," Salehi noted. "And the people need to express their support for this initiative."
Salehi added that thanks to God, last year, which was a very difficult one, the enemies could not accomplish their plans, and this year Iran will continue its progress in various spheres.
