Turkey, Iran to sign preferential trade agreement

Delegations from Iran and Turkey made progress in finalizing the details of a preferential trade agreement between the two countries.

Iran's delegation during the negotiations was led by Deputy Commerce Minister for Economic Affairs, Hamid Safdel, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.

The three-day discussions of the delegations covered a list of agricultural and industrial goods which the two countries want to import from each other.

Ankara will continue the talks in Tehran in the near future. Then, the final agreement and a list of goods will be reconsidered for Turkish and Iranian Ministers of Economy and Industry to sign it.
