"Several Azerbaijanis leave Japan"

Several Azerbaijani citizens temporarily residing and studying in Japan have already left the country and returned home after the natural disaster, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Japan Azer Huseyn said.

The embassy provided them with the necessary assistance, he said.

The diplomatic mission has already appealed to Azerbaijani students in Japan and stated about its readiness to provide the necessary assistance to them to return home.

Huseyn said over 50 Azerbaijani citizens temporarily live and study in Japan. About 30of them live in Tokyo.

He said that there is no Azerbaijani citizen among quake-hit people. The death toll in Japan has reached to 6,539 people, the Kyodo news agency reported.
