Azeri compatriot becomes Estonian MP

Azeri compatriot Eldar Afandiyev was elected for the third time as a member parliament to Estonian Riigikogu, Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Diaspora said.

Mr. Afandiyev has graduated from Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute. He was director of Narva museum, mayor of Narva city and minister for population settlement in Estonia. He is the first vice-president of European Azerbaijanis Congress and member of World Azerbaijanis Congress`s board of directors.
