Russian-language popular US radio broadcasts program about Azerbaijan

The Russian-language popular Davidzon Radio, which is broadcasted in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Boston and other states of the US, broadcasted a program about Azerbaijan on December 26.

The program was broadcasted on the occasion of the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis. Azerbaijan’s permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Agshin Mehdiyev and representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in New York attended the program.

Azerbaijan’s permanent representation to the UN told APA that Agshin Mehdiyev spoke about the policy pursued by the Azerbaijani government with regard to the Diaspora, the state’s care for Diaspora, the measures taken as a result of this care, political stability, economic development and progress of the country.

Agshin Mehdiyev underlined the role of the Diaspora in informing the world about Azerbaijan’s realities, gave information about the activities carried out by the Diaspora (opening of the Azerbaijani-language school in New York, publication of the newspapers in English and Azerbaijani, programs about Azerbaijan broadcasted on the US-based Radioturkum, national dance ensemble in New York etc).

The permanent representative and members of the Diaspora answered the questions of listeners.
